Production Manager leading VFX production efforts and team collaboration at Zero VFX. Ensuring project timelines and artist objectives are met while promoting effective communication and quality delivery.
Responsibilities
As a core member of a series production team, you will work closely with other production team members and supervisors to deliver the series according to established objectives.
You will be responsible for maintaining the production schedule and clearly communicating daily, weekly and longer-term goals to artists.
You will act as the primary point of contact between artists and series leadership regarding task progress, blockers, deadlines, timelines, and note clarification/communication.
You may be responsible for managing certain aspects of the project schedule, working toward the series’ success, and will always act in the company’s best interest.
Under the supervision of the Producer, be responsible for the day-to-day management of the VFX floor and task planning using ShotGrid.
Responsible for the outsourcing process, including gathering documentation, submitting packages, comparing bids, tracking bids and tasks, and forwarding invoices to accounting.
Responsible for planning and managing daily reviews with the VFX Supervisor.
Anticipate and report potential issues and problems to the Producer, VFX Supervisor and CG/Comp/IO Supervisors so they can be addressed quickly.
Oversee delivery to the client of all interim and final versions.
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in the visual effects (VFX) industry or film production
Highly motivated and able to work effectively within a cross-functional, cross-departmental team of artists, coordinators, producers and VFX supervisors.
Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail is ESSENTIAL.
Proven production and time-management experience with the ability to solve problems effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of techniques, terminology and workflows related to visual effects.
Proficiency with the features of ShotGrid and methods for tracking and displaying data, including creating various pages, using filters and organizing data.
Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite (particularly Word and Excel) as well as Google Suite, including Sheets.
Due to funding requirements, candidates must reside in Quebec and be legally authorized to work in Canada.
