About the role

  • European Patent Attorney managing patent applications and intellectual property rights for Dräger's locations in Europe. Collaborating with teams on legal evaluations and contract advisory.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for drafting and filing patent and design applications worldwide
  • Conducting grant, opposition and appeal proceedings, as well as determining inventor remuneration
  • Point of contact for all matters related to industrial property rights
  • Analyzing third-party IP rights and performing legal assessments
  • Advising on M&A and drafting license and development agreements

Requirements

  • Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
  • Patent assessor and/or European Patent Attorney
  • Several years of professional experience in the areas described above
  • Strong communication skills to clearly present complex technical and legal issues
  • Business-fluent German and English
  • Keen eye for the smallest details
  • Proactive team player
  • Confident and professional demeanor
