About the role
- Internship in software development for safety technology, programming with C++, Java, JavaScript, and various frameworks at Dräger in Lübeck.
Responsibilities
- Learn the development process for our products (e.g., gas detection devices for firefighters) and the methods used
- Develop applications in C++ and the Qt framework using tools such as CLion, Squish and Qt Creator
- Develop with Java, JavaScript and TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular, Node.js and Spring, using tools like Protractor, Jasmine, WebDriver, Cucumber, Karma, Spock, Docker, Microsoft Azure and IntelliJ for web and cloud development
- Program in C, C++, Python and MATLAB and contribute to embedded development using µC/OS, Yocto Linux and tools like CppUTest, Google Test and the IAR toolchain (implementation of firmware for microcontrollers and processors on custom-designed PCBs)
Requirements
- Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Technical Computer Science or Communications Engineering, at least in the 4th semester, or a comparable degree program
- Ideally first experience in object-oriented programming, web and app development, embedded programming, measurement engineering or algorithm development
- Good English skills and experience with MS Office are desirable
- Passionate about coding and enjoy developing software
- Independent and solution-oriented working style, with commitment to implementing your own ideas
