Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the complete accounting function and financial reporting under HGB (Handelsgesetzbuch/German Commercial Code)
- Provide well-founded advice and support to our clients on all VAT-related matters
- Independently prepare monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Proactively communicate financial insights and recommendations to our clients
- Implement and optimize financial processes and quickly adapt to new tools and systems
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of the Handelsgesetzbuch (HGB) and a deep understanding of VAT law
- Experience in accounting, combined with strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently of specific tools and to adapt quickly to new systems (e.g., DATEV, SAP, Navision/Dynamics)
- Experience in the start-up environment and a proactive, solution-oriented approach to work
- A consultative mindset that balances financial figures with the company’s strategic direction
