About the role
- Accountant, Finance IT managing financial transactions for the IT department at Domtar. Involves analysis, reporting, and support in accounting as part of a collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Obtain, analyze and record monthly accruals of IT Directors
- Review all projects invoices and prepaid invoices of the Corporate IT department
- Prepare journal entries and month-end reconciliations
- Prepare and provide monthly cost statements (operational costs) to IT cost center owners
- Help with the following project’s costs
- Monthly analysis of fixed assets depreciation and track IT assets within the accounting books
- Participate in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and the annual IT budget
- Follow IT assets and perform the commissioning necessary to those
- Produce quarterly reports for the CFO on project status
- Support other members of the IT accounting team as required
Requirements
- University degree in accounting
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
- A professional designation is considered an asset or you are working towards a professional designation
- Good knowledge of Microsoft office
- Excellent knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of SAP (FI/CO) is an asset
- Bilingual (written and spoken) in French and English
