About the role

Responsibilities

• Lead a development team operating in a remote setup.
• Responsible for developing and evolving systems that ensure the technical availability of wind turbines, as well as for the central storage and provisioning of plant data.
• Responsible for further developing and implementing modern agile development processes.
• Plan and manage projects: roadmaps, prioritization, and resource management.
• Foster an open, learning-oriented team culture with a focus on ownership and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a unified and consistent data foundation by integrating and harmonizing data from multiple system landscapes.
• Provide consulting for cross-departmental digitalization projects.
• Work closely with technical departments to successfully implement projects.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Professional experience in a leadership role within software development, ideally in the wind energy sector.
• Solid understanding of software architecture and scalable system design based on .NET / C#, Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of current technologies (container technologies, test automation).
• Basic understanding of IT security, code quality, and software lifecycle management.
• Experience in the area of critical infrastructure.
• Strong mediation and communication skills between technical and business stakeholders.
• Excellent spoken and written German and English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and a valid Class B driving license.
