About the role

  • Maintaining business relationships with members and clients in a financial services capacity. Handling sales support activities and ensuring customer satisfaction in a hybrid workplace.

Responsibilities

  • The incumbent works in close collaboration with account managers to maintain business relationships with members and clients by performing sales support activities.
  • Complete documentation after appointments with members and clients by meeting with them to obtain signatures, answering operational questions, opening accounts, and presenting and closing sales of products and services (e.g., the Business Freedom Solutions plan).
  • Guide and assist members and clients in using the above products and services.
  • Help prioritize account managers’ weekly activities and plan upcoming follow-ups and solicitation efforts.
  • Contact members and clients as needed to confirm planned transactions.
  • Make courtesy calls at the request of account managers.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering presentations targeted to members and clients and follow up on them as required.
  • Contribute to business development by participating in various solicitation activities.
  • Use relationships with members and clients to build strong business connections.
  • Listen carefully to members’ and clients’ needs to ensure full satisfaction, identify sales opportunities, and keep files up to date.
  • Ensure files are complete and compliant with all applicable deadlines and quality standards.
  • Adhere to all policies, practices and standards in effect for conducting transactions and operations securely.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) or equivalent
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Ability to prepare financial statements
  • Knowledge of business products and services offered by caisses, components and Desjardins distribution networks, as well as competitors’ offerings
  • Ability to enter financial data into systems
  • Knowledge of business financing and credit management practices
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for the distribution of financial products and services
  • Understanding of the philosophy and operating principles of a financial services cooperative
  • Knowledge of procedures for opening accounts and selling complementary products and services, including those related to Accord D financing
  • Knowledge of Desjardins business processes
  • Knowledge of service standards
