About the role

  • Environmental lawyer responsible for ESG compliance and related legal issues in a renowned law firm. Engage in compliance, audits, and litigation concerning environmental matters.

Responsibilities

  • Work across all areas of Environmental Law and ESG-related topics, such as socio-environmental aspects, traceability, adherence to voluntary standards, and climate change;
  • Draft legal opinions and memoranda on matters including environmental permitting, contaminated sites, remediation and compensation for environmental damage, environmental liability, biodiversity, solid waste and reverse logistics, traditional communities and indigenous peoples, air emissions, and effluents;
  • Lead administrative proceedings, investigations, and litigation, including collective actions;
  • Conduct legal and ESG due diligence for corporate transactions, capital markets operations, project financing, and compliance assessments against legislation and market standards.

Requirements

  • University degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent);
  • Active OAB registration (Brazilian Bar Association);
  • Fluent English;
  • Experience in Environmental law covering the areas described above.
