Responsibilities
Drive the technology evaluation, maturation and development to meet mid-to-long term business needs in alignment with roadmap and vision
Act as key contributor to drive the technology roadmap as well as implant and surgical sub-roadmaps
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships and collaborations with key opinion leaders within ENT
Execute make or buy assessments and evaluations
Secure and attract research collaborations and funding opportunities for strategic priorities and collaborations
Research representative of Oticon Medical both external and internal
Promote Oticon Medical as a scientific partner externally
Requirements
MSc or PhD in mechanical, biomechanical, biomedical engineering or similar
10 years’ experience in leading technology and research projects within implantable medical devices and experience with active implantable medical devices is required
Substantial industrial experience is required
Demonstrated success in translation of medical device research and concepts into product development and clinical efficiency
Track record of successful multi-disciplinary collaborations with researchers and key opinion leaders
Experience dealing with clinical considerations during technical development
