Responsibilities
Install, terminate, label, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems
Build and dress network racks, cable trays, ladder racks, and pathway systems
Interpret engineering drawings, cable schedules, and project specifications
Perform continuity, certification, and OTDR testing; generate accurate test reports
Conduct site surveys and support quality assurance of completed work
Install telecom room hardware, patch panels, cabinets, and enclosures
Assist field engineers and project leads with implementation tasks
Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and government site requirements
Document all work performed and support development of as built updates
Requirements
5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI
Current BICSI Technician (TECH) or BICSI Installer (INST1/INST2) certification, or equivalent
3–5 years of experience installing structured cabling systems
Proficiency in terminating and testing copper (Cat5e/6/6A) and fiber (SM/MM)
Familiarity with Fluke DSX/CertiFiber and OTDR test equipment
Strong attention to detail and adherence to industry standards.
