About the role

  • Support IT licensing management for DATAGROUP, ensuring legal compliance and cost efficiency. Manage contracts and licensing inquiries while collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • You help maintain an overview of our license inventory across the entire DATAGROUP Group — no matter how many vendors are involved.
  • You master our licensing systems and tools, rather than letting them master you.
  • You ensure our IT systems are properly licensed — legally compliant and cost-effective.
  • You assist in developing licensing strategies that balance availability, compliance and cost.
  • You maintain the central contract and license database and produce reports.
  • You are the first point of contact for our DATAGROUP companies on all licensing-related questions.
  • You take on initial projects in license management and reliably coordinate between subsidiaries and internal teams.
  • You support contract negotiations and license renewals — with technical expertise and good relationships with internal and external partners.

Requirements

  • You have initial experience in IT license management, ideally in the infrastructure area, and want to deepen your expertise.
  • You are familiar with the licensing models of Microsoft, VMware, SUSE/Red Hat and Citrix — you know what matters.
  • You have initial experience with software deployments and always keep track of license usage and costs.
  • You have basic knowledge of contract negotiations and relevant legal frameworks and have applied these in your daily work.
  • You apply your ITIL knowledge purposefully and supportively in your tasks.
  • You can quickly grasp complex issues, prepare them clearly and communicate them effectively.
  • You have negotiation skills, strong analytical abilities and solid conceptual understanding — accompanied by a professional demeanor.
  • Language skills: German (minimum C1), English (business fluent / negotiation-level).
