About the role
- Senior Business Analyst enhancing IT Service Delivery and facilitating stakeholder communication for Datacom across AU and NZ. Leading business requirements gathering and implementation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside Process Owners in their efforts to optimise the processes they own.
- Document requirements, lead/manage the review of those documents with the subject matter experts, and achieve formal signoff
- Identify critical success measures and ensure data is available to track them
- Work closely with the Technical Leads as they develop out the functional and technical designs, ensuring they will effectively meet the business needs
- Work closely with the Test Analysts, ensure they are also kept updated, and especially made aware of scope changes, project issues, and risks
- Resolve issues raised by developers and testers during the Development and Testing stages, in relation to specification questions and ambiguities, communicating with process owners and SMEs as necessary
- Analyse existing business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness and reduce risk
- Lead the requirements gathering process by conducting interviews, workshops, and document analysis to capture the business needs and objectives
- Prepare detailed business requirement documents, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria to support project development and testing
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and change agents to ensure clear communication and alignment on the initiatives
- Collaborate with Testing teams to develop test plans, and validate that solutions meet business requirements and quality standards
- Support the development of the training material and help with questions posed during training. Act as a knowledge expert during hypercare to ensure successful adoption of the enhancements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in business analysis, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role
- Proven ability to navigate the complexities of business and keep laser-focused on delivering the set objectives
- Demonstrable experience mapping processes using BPMN2.0, Value Chain Diagrams and Customer Journey Maps and building SIPOCs and RACI tables. Experience using BIC Process Design is a plus.
- Proficiency in key business tools such as: Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Jira and Confluence
- Experience in IT Service Delivery, while not essential, would be considered favourably
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical, junior and senior stakeholders
- Experience with Agile and Scrum ways of working
- Self-driven, but work well within a team environment and under pressure
