About the role

  • Softwareentwickler designing future emission control systems using automation technology and digital solutions. Collaborating with innovation team to enhance environmental solutions at DAS Environmental Expert GmbH.

Responsibilities

  • As a Software Developer (m/f/d) in our innovation team, you will shape the future of our emission control systems.
  • You will combine classical PLC automation with modern digital technologies, Edge computing, sensor intelligence and Industry 4.0 features.
  • You will develop and test software and modeling concepts that improve the CO₂ balance, PFC emissions and operating costs of our systems.
  • You will define which data, signals and logic are required in PLC and Edge software.
  • You will integrate sensors, including their connection to the PLC.
  • You will define and coordinate the required PLC signals and logical changes together with the PLC team.
  • You will specify and test Edge computing modules and I4.0 interfaces in laboratory and pilot plants.
  • You will design data flows from PLCs and sensors to databases, analytics platforms and dashboards.
  • You will plan and support experiments with gas and process sensors.
  • You will describe use cases and acceptance criteria and define relevant KPIs and reporting requirements.
  • You will act as the primary contact (m/f/d) for our software development, the innovation team and our worldwide subsidiaries by gathering requirements, prioritizing them and communicating results.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a comparable qualification.
  • Professional experience with PLC and HMI environments or a strong technical understanding of automation environments.
  • Very good knowledge of C#, JavaScript or Python.
  • Experience with industrial communication standards such as OPC UA, MQTT, REST.
  • Experience with sensor integration, data models and Edge computing architectures.
  • Analytical, independent and solution-oriented working style.
  • Team player with clear communication skills, including across interfaces.
  • Broad technical interest and enthusiasm for learning new technologies.
  • Good written and spoken German and English (minimum B2 level).
