Aftermarket Parts Solutions Materials Manager at Daikin Applied optimizing inventory systems and enhancing operational efficiency. Leading strategic inventory planning and materials management in HVAC industry.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Store Managers to develop and maintain an optimal product mix for stores
Lead forecasting efforts to tailor product offerings using evolving market demands and KPIs to stock new stores
Own the Materials Management Scorecard, tracking KPIs such as Inventory Turnover, Average Days to Sell, Stockout Rate, and Back Order Rate
Manage the purchase order process, including external sourcing and intercompany transfers
Oversee regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts as required
Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to enhance returns processes
Enforce supplier standards for distribution, analyzing trends to continuously improve supplier performance
Manage Excess and Obsolete (E&O) inventory processes across all sites
Ensure accurate setup and inventory pulling for kits, managing First-In-First-Out (FIFO) strategies effectively
Monitor all system material issues, taking corrective actions as needed
Partner with the finance department to manage annual cycle count strategies and inventory rebalancing
Utilize inventory analysis to drive decisions based on SKU family and classifications
Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, including finance, operations, and store management teams, to ensure alignment and clear communication of materials management strategies
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team feedback, innovating processes, and conducting regular reviews
Requirements
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
4 to 6 years of experience and 5 of them having experience with Inventory Control, Materials Management, Operations, Aftermarket Parts, HVAC Field Support
Strong analytical skills and proficiency with inventory management software and systems
Excellent leadership abilities with experience managing cross-functional teams

6-8 years of experience with Inventory Control, Materials Management, Operations, Aftermarket Parts, HVAC Field Support (preferred)
Relevant certification (eg APICS CSCP) is a plus
Microsoft Technologies, Data Analytics (Advanced Excel, Power BI, etc)
