About the role

  • Stage d'ingénieur pour le CTIFL à Carquefou, évaluant la variabilité physiologique des tomates modernes. Mission d'expérimentation et recherche appliquée sur la culture des tomates.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate the physiological variability of modern tomato varieties in response to digital climate control
  • Collect physiological measurements (photosynthetic activity, chlorophyll fluorescence, leaf thickness, stomatal density, biomass allocation, …)
  • Monitor crop growth and production to assess the agronomic and economic performance of the different treatments/modalities
  • Detailed monitoring of energy consumption for each modality
  • Compare “expert” climate management strategies with an autonomous system

Requirements

  • Master’s level (equivalent to Bac+5) — final-year internship in an engineering school or a second-year Master’s at university
  • Knowledge of agronomy and plant physiology
  • Curiosity and ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in R required (data management and analysis)
  • Own means of transportation required
