About the role

• Developer role focusing on CoreMedia and Magnolia projects for a digital agency serving German SMEs. Involves consulting, architecture design, and modern web app development.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on technical solutions and strategies.
• Guiding developers and/or taking on project coordination for smaller development projects.
• Designing architectures and planning implementation approaches.
• Developing modern, dynamic web applications, e.g., based on CoreMedia CMS or Magnolia CMS, or web applications utilizing AI technologies.
• Implementing backend logic using Java and Spring.
• Implementing frontend with React and Next.js.
• Integrating backend services using REST / GraphQL.
• Conducting code reviews and quality checks.
• Applying agile processes and methodologies.
• Mentoring colleagues and facilitating knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Proven ability to advise clients professionally and fairly to deliver successful projects in collaboration with them.
• Clear, open, and respectful communication.
• A general interest in leadership and coordinating people.
• At least 2 years of experience coordinating development projects in roles such as Tech Lead or Architect.
• At least 5 years of experience in full‑stack development with a focus on Java and Spring.
• Extensive knowledge of modern web technologies, including TypeScript and React.
• Expertise in a Java‑based content management system, ideally CoreMedia or Magnolia; alternatively, strong experience in Java web application development.
• Use of artificial intelligence for consulting and development as well as within customer solutions.
• Solid experience applying best practices for code quality, testing, and performance optimization in an agile context.
• Deep knowledge of software architectures.
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, cloud services, CI/CD).
