Engineering/Maintenance Manager leading reliability and maintenance processes in a chemical manufacturing plant. Overseeing compliance, safety, and mechanical integrity while managing engineering projects.
Responsibilities
Leads the plant Reliability and Maintenance process by gathering and analyzing data, evaluating improvement opportunities, and executing Mechanical Integrity plan, preventative, proactive, and reactive maintenance tasks.
Assures plant level compliance to PSM and other regulatory inspections and maintenance.
Leads the plant level capital projects, including fulfilling roles in the project execution work process.
Professionally manage direct reports including providing safety performance feedback.
Ensure that ISO, PSM, and PM requirements are met by maintenance personnel.
Manage department spending within guidelines, including contractor costs.
Manage contractor program to ensure work performed meets requirements of plant specifications and policies.
Prepare reports on plant equipment reliability on a periodic basis.
Conduct analysis to determine failure mode and root cause of equipment failures.
Establish and implement quality control procedures for stock and non-stock parts supplied by OEM/others.
Assist in planning major shutdowns.
Own the mechanical integrity program for the site.
Requirements
BS degree required.
Chemical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
MBA/MS a plus.
10 - 12 years in a chemical manufacturing environment required; solvent-based preferred.
Proven experience in industrial safety & environmental compliance.
Hands on knowledge & experience with ISO, PSM, Mechanical Integrity programs.
Proficient with or ability to learn computer spreadsheets & database applications including SAP.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Exposure to Lean Manufacturing techniques and Total Predictive Maintenance.
