About the role
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Engineering team
- Own the equipment lifecycle for packaging assets: strategy, upgrades, obsolescence, and risk management
- Drive qualification & validation (URS, DQ, IQ/OQ/PQ), change control, and documentation in line with internal and external requirements
- Lead engineering for packaging technologies (e.g., blister/bottle, carton, labeling, serialization/aggregation, case packing, palletizing)
- Set direction for performance and reliability improvements using data, OEE, root cause analysis, and LEAN methods
- Strengthen engineering standards, technical documentation and structured problem-solving
- Champion digitalization and robust maintenance foundations with the Technical Manager and Production Manager
- Ensure safe design and operation, addressing machine safety, ergonomics, and compliance by design
- Build strong cross-functional collaboration with Technical and Production teams to secure uptime, quality, and cost efficiency
Requirements
- MSc/BSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automation Engineering, or similar technical background
- Solid experience from packaging environments and regulated GxP/GMP production
- Proven success with qualification and validation and change management
- Experience leading engineering teams or complex technical projects in a cross-functional setup
- Strong understanding of packaging line technology, automation, and performance optimization
- Skilled in using data, structured problem-solving, and LEAN tools
- Ability to see the big picture, connect technical and operational priorities, and act as a sparring partner to peers
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Fluent in Danish and English
