Responsibilities
As a Scala Spark Developer, you will work on large-scale data processing solutions within Google Cloud Platform, contributing to one of the largest Data Lakes in the world.
You will design and develop data pipelines using Apache Spark and validate your solutions with Apache Airflow.
You will be part of an agile, international team operating in a highly regulated financial environment.

Deliver sprint goals by actively contributing to backlog execution
Collaborate closely with software developers across multiple locations (including UK and China)
Work in line with the Scrum framework and agile best practices
Maintain and improve code quality through testing, refactoring and bug fixing
Support Product Owners in refining and understanding technical backlog items
Share knowledge within the team and across the wider organization
Participate in the full end-to-end product development lifecycle, including production releases
Requirements
Very good knowledge of Scala and Spark
Experience with GitHub for version control
Basic experience with Airflow and Python
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Experience working in Scrum teams
Good communication skills in English (discussion and presentation)
Nice to have: Hands-on experience with GCP and Apache Airflow
Knowledge of testing approaches and tools (JUnit, TDD, BDD)
Exposure to at least one major cloud provider (Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services)
Previous Secure Code Warrior certifications
