About the role

  • Serve as a strategic privacy advisor across multiple teams at Contentsquare. Ensure compliance and mitigation of privacy risks in a dynamic legal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to thoroughly understand business activities and future plans in order to identify, investigate, and manage privacy topics as they arise;
  • Work closely with global cross-functional teams including Product, R&D, Marketing, HR, Sales, and Security, to support decision-making and tech, digital marketing, and privacy initiatives across the group;
  • Review and advise on products and features to ensure privacy is embedded by design;
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of privacy related contracts;
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of the company’s privacy strategy and program, including but not limited to:
  • Conducting privacy impact assessments and updating records of processing activities;
  • Assisting in managing responses to data subject requests, including requests for access and deletion of personal data, in accordance with privacy laws;
  • Assisting with internal investigations and responses to data breaches or privacy incidents;
  • Developing and enhancing privacy related policies and notices;
  • Supporting in internal and external audits;
  • Advising internal clients with respect to the company’s privacy obligations and identifying and mitigating key data privacy risks associated with the collection and handling of personal data.
  • Keep current on relevant privacy laws and regulations in order to provide business-oriented and risk-tolerant guidance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally with some experience in-house at a SaaS company;
  • Demonstrated experience on privacy related issues, including (i) advising internal stakeholders on privacy issues; (ii) reviewing and drafting privacy related documents; and (iii) assessing issues of first impression;
  • Experience with the CNIL and ISO certifications;
  • High level of comfort with technology, including emerging technologies and AI;
  • Must be qualified to practice law in an EU jurisdiction;
  • Must be fluent in French and English;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative attitude – a collaborative team player who loves working with others;
  • Love working in a fast-moving, business-oriented environment typical of high-growth companies;
