- Drive modern engineering practices across the SDLC— CI/CD, cloud native development, testing automation, deployment safety, and operational readiness.
- Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement—lifting the bar on engineering craft.
- Balance delivery outcomes with sustainable engineering: manage trade-offs across speed, quality, and risk, and guide pragmatic modernisation.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading engineering teams delivering customer facing platforms in complex environments.
- A strong technical foundation in modern software engineering (cloud, APIs, DevOps) and the ability to lead with credibility.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor engineers, supporting growth and performance.
- Experience embedding modern engineering practices—CI/CD, automation, observability, reliability, and secure engineering, into day to day delivery.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse partners around outcomes.
- Exposure to AI enabled coding, intelligent orchestration, or agent based architectures is highly regarded.
