Software Performance Engineer responsible for performance testing and optimization of Collibra's software applications. Engaging with cross-functional teams to meet high performance standards in a hybrid environment.
Responsibilities
Perform Performance Engineering activities for critical projects by designing and executing comprehensive performance test strategies
Conduct end-to-end performance testing, load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing for core platform features and services
Develop and maintain performance test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
Utilize monitoring and observability tools to analyze performance test results and collaborate with engineering teams on resolution
Set up and manage necessary test environments
Apply the scientific method to systematically examine and break down complex performance data
Work closely with system architects and infrastructure teams to optimize software and hardware configurations
Provide regular performance test reports and metrics to stakeholders
Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in design patterns and test automation
Act as a solution-oriented professional to solve performance challenges
Maintain open communication with engineering, product, and architecture teams
Requirements
4+ years of experience in software performance testing, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar
Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
Hands-on experience and understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, etc.) and application performance monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog or Grafana
Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines, with direct experience using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
