About the role

  • Software Performance Engineer responsible for performance testing and optimization of Collibra's software applications. Engaging with cross-functional teams to meet high performance standards in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Performance Engineering activities for critical projects by designing and executing comprehensive performance test strategies
  • Conduct end-to-end performance testing, load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing for core platform features and services
  • Develop and maintain performance test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
  • Integrate performance testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Utilize monitoring and observability tools to analyze performance test results and collaborate with engineering teams on resolution
  • Set up and manage necessary test environments
  • Apply the scientific method to systematically examine and break down complex performance data
  • Work closely with system architects and infrastructure teams to optimize software and hardware configurations
  • Provide regular performance test reports and metrics to stakeholders
  • Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in design patterns and test automation
  • Act as a solution-oriented professional to solve performance challenges
  • Maintain open communication with engineering, product, and architecture teams

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in software performance testing, preferably within a SaaS or enterprise software environment
  • Proficiency in performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or similar
  • Experience with scripting and programming languages (e.g., Java, Python)
  • Hands-on experience and understanding of web technologies (HTTP, REST APIs, etc.) and application performance monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog or Grafana
  • Good understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines, with direct experience using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Proven ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • You must have work authorization to work in Prague, CZ.
