About the role
- Regulatory Affairs & Licensing Manager overseeing compliance strategy, licensing, and regulatory alignment in Thailand for Coins, the leading crypto brand in The Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret regulations from SEC, BOT, AMLO, and assess their impact on Coins’ products and operations.
- Advise management and product teams on regulatory feasibility, requirements, and risk implications.
- Lead end-to-end regulatory licensing processes, including preparing submissions and managing regulator communications.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulators and handle inquiries, audits, inspections, and periodic reporting.
- Develop and maintain internal compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and AML/CFT requirements for Thailand.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Finance to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Draft regulatory strategy reports, position papers, and consultation responses for policy developments.
- Identify regulatory risks early and provide clear guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Represent Coins in regulatory dialogues, consultations, and industry engagements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in Law, Public Policy, Business, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in regulatory advisory, licensing, compliance, or legal within financial services, fintech, or consulting.
- Strong understanding of Thai SEC, BOT, and AMLO regulations covering digital assets, payments, e-money, and AML/CFT.
- Experience managing licensing applications or preparing regulatory submissions.
- Excellent analytical, research, and regulatory interpretation skills.
- Strong written communication skills for drafting filings, policies, and strategic documents.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple regulatory projects in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and ability to build relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.
