About the role

  • Compliance Analyst monitoring programmatic and financial compliance for contracts at a CPA firm. Collaborating with team to ensure adherence to laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform programmatic and financial compliance monitoring for assigned contracts
  • Review contracts and applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations for compliance
  • Examine programmatic and financial records for accurate transaction recording
  • Evaluate financial capabilities and internal controls of subrecipients
  • Conduct subrecipient risk assessments and interpret financial audits
  • Identify non-compliance areas and provide recommendations for corrective action
  • Review grant agreements and amendments for adherence to regulations
  • Prepare monitoring reports for Manager review and approval
  • Collaborate with Lead and Senior Analyst on compliance issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 2-3 years of auditing experience, preferably with federal or state government grant programs
  • Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience in grant monitoring, compliance, auditing, or financial review preferred
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations and compliance requirements
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret financial statements, audit reports, and internal control systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
