About the role
- Head of Claims & Insurance managing the APAC Claims & Insurance team for CMA CGM Group. Overseeing marine insurance claims and leading a high-performance culture in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the APAC Claims & Insurance team, driving a high-performance and customer-centric culture
- Oversee Hull & Machinery (H&M) incidents, Crew and P&I claims, and Cargo Claims (POD Asia)
- Negotiate settlements and recoveries on optimal legal and commercial terms
- Ensure cargo claims are resolved efficiently with minimal operational and market impact
Requirements
- Ideally at least 10 years’ experience in marine insurance and claims (cargo, H&M, P&I)
- Strong knowledge of maritime law, international conventions (e.g. Hague Visby Rules)
- Proficiency in MS Office and experience with SAP and specialized claims management systems
- Proven track record in leading, supervising and developing a regional or multi location team
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
