Responsibilities
Responsible for timely follow up on denied/outstanding claims ensuring payments for medical services are received in a timely manner.
Function as an intermediary between healthcare providers, clients and health insurance companies.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of two years current experience in medical insurance for payers or government programs is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with high attention to details and strong organization skills are critical for success.
Must demonstrate a working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPC codes, and HIPAA.
Working knowledge of business and communication software such as MS Office, medical software programs, and general business office equipment (copier, printer, fax , and scanner).
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to understand medical/surgical terminology.
Must reside in Washington state and attend in person meetings as required.
