About the role

  • Local SEO Specialist executing critical Local SEO responsibilities within the delivery team at Clix. Responsible for ensuring technical accuracy and performance in campaigns for various accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and optimize Local SEO campaigns for single and multi-location businesses—with a focus on legal and professional service firms—ensuring high performance across map listings and local packs
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of Google Business Profiles (GBP) and Bing Places, from verification and spam fighting to weekly posts and Q&A optimization, to maximize local visibility and lead generation
  • Execute local keyword research to build and optimize location-specific landing pages, city pages, and service area content that drives geo-relevant traffic
  • Maintain technical local SEO health by managing schema markup (specifically LocalBusiness and Attorney types), resolving crawl issues, and ensuring mobile responsiveness for local users
  • Monitor campaign performance using agency-standard tracking platforms (specifically SE Ranking and GA4) to identify ranking drops, proximity opportunities, and data-driven optimization tasks
  • Execute end-to-end citation management, including the audit, cleanup, and buildout of NAP consistency on core aggregators and niche industry directories
  • Adapt campaign tactics to evolving Search Generative Experience (SGE) and AI-driven search environments to ensure clients remain visible in new search formats
  • Leverage LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude) and AI-driven developer tools to accelerate auditing, automate content outlines, and generate technical code (JSON-LD) for faster implementation
  • Collaborate within your assigned Pod, supporting Senior Strategists and Account Managers by executing tactical deliverables that align with broader client goals
  • Incrementally expand skillset beyond Local SEO by engaging in cross-channel projects (Paid Search, General SEO) through internal mentorship and self-directed learning
  • Communicate tactical updates and performance insights clearly to internal teams, translating technical SEO actions into understandable business impacts
  • Complete a minimum of 5 hours of professional development monthly, staying ahead of Local Search algorithm updates and AI-search trends
  • Proactively perform ad-hoc optimization tasks to support the agility and success of the wider SEO team

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of proven experience managing Local SEO campaigns for service-based businesses, with a strong preference for experience in the legal or professional services sectors
  • Advanced knowledge of Local SEO platforms (e.g., SE Ranking , BrightLocal, Whitespark) and technical crawling tools
  • Demonstrated proficiency with content management systems (e.g., WordPress), Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
  • Practical experience leveraging AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub) to accelerate technical tasks, such as generating Schema markup, troubleshooting code, or automating data cleanup
  • Active Certifications (Preferred): Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ), Google Business Profile (GBP) training, or Google Tag Manager (GTM) Certification
