About the role

  • Tech Manager leading multidisciplinary engineering teams for a leading transportation marketplace platform. Focusing on team development, technical solutions, and strategic alignment across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering team’s People management;
  • Develop and monitor career plans for the team;
  • Conduct structured 1:1s and provide continuous feedback;
  • Carry out performance evaluations and promotions;
  • Identify technical and behavioral gaps;
  • Foster an environment of psychological safety;
  • Ensure efficient technical onboarding;
  • Balance seniority and distribute responsibilities;
  • Prevent centralization and excessive dependency on key individuals;
  • Act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, and Business;
  • Ensure deliveries are high-quality, on time, and aligned with strategic context;
  • Continuously improve team efficiency (lead time, throughput);
  • Reduce incidents and rework;
  • Increase the technical maturity of the area.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Tech Manager, Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar roles leading multidisciplinary engineering teams;
  • Experience in agile environments, digital products, platforms, or technology companies, preferably in growth and transformation contexts;
  • People leadership and talent management skills;
  • Strong ability to lead, develop, and engage team members;
  • Experience conducting structured 1:1s, continuous feedback, performance evaluations, and promotion processes;
  • Experience building and monitoring career plans, actively working on the team’s technical and behavioral development;
  • Ability to identify technical and behavioral gaps and structure individual development plans (IDPs);
  • Solid technical background in software engineering, systems architecture, quality, and development best practices;
  • Track record in reducing incidents, rework, and technical debt, promoting continuous improvement;
  • Strong capability to act as a bridge between Engineering, Product, and Business areas, ensuring strategic alignment;
  • Ability to translate business needs into viable technical solutions, prioritizing impact and value;
  • Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills across different levels.
