Responsibilities
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Project Management:** Lead and manage cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget.
**Operational Effectiveness:** Oversee day-to-day security operations, ensuring ongoing effectiveness and alignment with business requirements.
**Collaboration:** Work closely with cybersecurity, IT, and business teams to integrate security solutions and align with organisational goals.
**Vendor Management:** Manage relationships with security vendors and service providers to ensure the quality and effectiveness of their products and services.
**Risk Management:** Work with Cyber GRC to help identifying, assessing, and managing security risks, developing mitigation strategies.
**Compliance and Governance:** Ensure security solutions comply with relevant regulations and standards, such as NIST, ISO, PCI/DSS, SOX, and GDPR.
**Incident Management:** Oversee the response to security incidents, ensuring effective management and incorporating lessons learned.
**Reporting:** Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of security projects, operational effectiveness, and risk management activities.
**Stakeholder Engagement:** Maintain relationships with stakeholders, advising on security risks and solutions to align with business objectives.
Requirements
**Project Management:** Strong skills in managing complex security projects.
**Operational Expertise:** Deep understanding of security operations and management of security solutions.
**Leadership:** Proven ability to lead cross functional projects.
**Collaboration:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
**Risk Management:** Proficiency in identifying, assessing, and managing security risks.
**Technical Proficiency:** Expertise in security technologies such as SIEM, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption solutions.
**Certifications:** Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL.
**Compliance Knowledge:** Experience with regulatory compliance and standards like NIST, ISO, PCI/DSS, SOX, Cyber Essentials and GDPR.
**Vendor Management:** Experience in managing security vendors and service providers.
**Preferred qualifications:**
**Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, related field or relevant experience.
**Experience:** Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security architecture.
**Skills:** Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
