About the role

  • Senior Engineer focusing on lifecycle renewal of water and wastewater facilities assets. Collaborating on asset management processes and planning rehabilitation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, managing and tracking the identified services Rehabilitation budget
  • Being a point of contact and representing Asset Management on projects
  • Compiling information on asset condition and renewal needs, including developing budget estimates and preliminary scoping
  • Liaising with partners
  • Participating in decision making and prioritization of rehabilitation needs
  • Participating in the development of the annual budget, including facilitating Risk Workshops
  • Participating in the development and review of Water Facilities Asset Management processes, procedures, templates and tools.
  • Other duties, as assigned

Requirements

  • Completion of 4 year university degree in Engineering or Applied Science from a recognized university, preferably in a Civil, Electrical, Mechanical or Municipal Engineering related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible and practical experience in municipal engineering field with thorough knowledge of infrastructure system design, construction, operation and maintenance
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
