- Royalty Analyst responsible for royalty income tracking and analysis at Citrin Cooperman. Collaborating with music industry contacts for financial reporting and inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Assist with royalty income tracking
- Create databases and summarize statements
- Review, interpret and apply contract terms
- Perform detailed analyses
- Maintain and organize all documents
- Communicate with points of contact at music companies (record labels, publishers, etc.) and other licensees of intellectual property
- Prepare complex artist, producer, publisher, profit participation and mechanical statements
- Prepare complex income allocation schedules
- Prepare complex analytical reports
- Prepare reports for client meetings
- Field internal and external royalty inquiries in a timely and accurate manner
- Comfortably interact with clients through written and spoken communications
- Assist with various types of royalty-related research
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Music Business Management, or similar
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and formulas such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF
- 2-5 years of music industry royalty experience
- Self-motivated and detail oriented analytical thinker
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and reading comprehension
- Understand basis accounting principles
- Work well independently and in a team environment
- Eager to learn new skills and concepts
- Ability to multi-task
