About the role
- Tax & Financial Reporting Senior Accountant responsible for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reporting for superannuation fund clients. Ensuring high-quality, accurate reporting with attention to detail while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax, financial and other regulatory reporting for our superannuation fund and managed investment trust clients.
- Ensure high quality, accurate and timely reporting with an exceptional level of attention to detail.
- Analyze and resolve operational issues.
- Support continuous process improvement and collaborate with internal stakeholders on technology developments to meet business and client expectations.
- Preparation of business activity financial statements, distribution calculations and tax returns.
- Preparation of financial statements, APRA and ABS regulatory reporting.
- Reconciliation of accounting to taxable income.
- Perform other daily and monthly activities as required adhering strictly to established procedures, controls and checklist.
- Review & resolve aging break items and breaks over a certain dollar threshold.
- Review procedures & controls.
- Provide back-up coverage for team members and assist team members during high volume periods.
- Support process improvement activities.
- Assist the team manager in audit queries, client queries, and risk related items.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/business studies/technology or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences (must have financial reporting knowledge)
- Experience in accounting, finance, or business-related area
- Experience in fund administration, change management, and/or project management
- Ability to work under pressure to meet varying deadlines and work volumes
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
