About the role

  • Credit Risk VP overseeing the intake and prioritization of credit risk changes in financial services. Ensuring alignment with profitability objectives and regulatory expectations while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic individual contributor responsible for overseeing the intake, prioritization, and execution of credit risk–related changes.
  • Ensure that all initiatives align with profitability objectives, regulatory expectations, and strong risk management disciplines.
  • Drive operational excellence by managing control breaks, supporting critical business-as-usual (BAU) processes, and ensuring that changes impacting credit risk strategy are delivered with rigor, transparency, and efficiency.
  • Lead the end-to-end change management lifecycle for credit risk initiatives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage control breaks across credit risk processes, ensuring timely remediation.
  • Support core BAU credit risk processes, ensuring accuracy, control adherence, and operational stability.
  • Partner with technology, operations, risk governance, compliance, and product teams to ensure seamless delivery of credit risk changes.
  • Evaluate the impact of credit risk changes, control break remediation, and BAU performance on the overall risk profile and profitability outcomes.
  • Lead efforts to modernize and optimize change management and intake processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in credit risk, change management, or project management roles.
  • Experience managing control breaks and BAU activities within a highly regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in developing and executing detailed plans to deliver changes on time and within budget.
  • Deep understanding of credit risk management, risk control frameworks, and regulatory requirements related to credit risk.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across risk, operations, technology, and compliance teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to evaluate the impact of credit risk changes on profitability and risk performance.
  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
