About the role

  • Process Engineer improving manufacturing processes and driving cost savings at Chobani. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity and product quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support process improvement projects with a focus on milk yield, efficiency, and cost savings
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize equipment performance and reduce product loss
  • Partner with operations, quality, and maintenance to troubleshoot issues and drive sustainable solutions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including system specs, SOPs, and equipment settings
  • Support equipment modifications, tie-ins, and plant shutdown/startup activities
  • Verify installation and performance of new equipment, assisting with commissioning and validation
  • Prepare and review process layouts, system diagrams, and other project documentation
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to evaluate options, review proposals, and ensure equipment meets project needs
  • Provide technical support for day-to-day operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable processes
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects, collaborating with operations, engineering, quality, and project management teams
  • May be assigned as project lead on specific improvement or capital projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial engineering programs (or equivalent)
  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar engineering role
  • Experience with process systems related to the food and beverage industry
  • Working knowledge of project life cycle deliverables, contract & schedule
  • Recommended experience in, or ability to become proficient in, the use of Microsoft Office software, Microsoft Project, SEEQ, CAPE, and AutoCAD
  • Pro-activity, personal drive, decisiveness, commercial / business acumen, communication skills, excellent teamwork skills, organizational competency, and the ability to prioritize
  • Preferred experience in food manufacturing processing processes, including pasteurization, separation, etc.
