About the role

  • Engineer in traffic maintenance overseeing projects related to infrastructure improvements in Quebec. Collaborating with a team of engineers and ensuring compliance with transport standards and innovations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead various traffic maintenance design projects;
  • Collaborate closely with the road engineering and bridge engineering teams as well as other disciplines;
  • Ensure designs comply with Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) standards and any other client-specific requirements;
  • Coordinate traffic maintenance with various stakeholders and partners;
  • Supervise junior engineers and Engineers-in-Training (EITs) within the traffic maintenance team;
  • Develop traffic maintenance scenarios for project implementation;
  • Analyze impact management and mitigation measures related to traffic mobility and safety;
  • Prepare preliminary design studies for the traffic maintenance component;
  • Prepare traffic maintenance plans and specifications and estimate traffic maintenance costs;
  • Monitor design implementation during construction (office support);
  • Prepare service proposals and project budget estimates;

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering with 5+ years of experience in a similar role;
  • Possession of the Construction Site Safety Card (ASP) is essential;
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and MTQ standards (specifically Volume V) is a good foundation for this role;
