About the role
- Senior Mining Engineer leading technical aspects of large-scale mining projects. Collaborating with teams and ensuring sustainability and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Act as a technical and strategic expert on large-scale mining projects.
- Participate in the delivery of various studies — preliminary economic assessments, pre-feasibility, feasibility studies, and sensitivity analyses.
- Design and plan the mine site layout as well as all required infrastructure and facilities.
- Contribute to the organization of mine operations to achieve optimal performance.
- Supervise a team of professionals or lead the technical component of projects of varying scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline (Master’s degree an asset).
- More than 10 years of experience in similar roles (underground and open-pit operations).
- Proven experience in managing or coordinating multidisciplinary projects.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in mining project management and mining studies.
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
- Knowledge of design software such as Deswik and AutoCAD (Promine), Gemcom, or other relevant tools.
- Excellent command of French, spoken and written.
- High level of proficiency in English, spoken and written.
