About the role

  • Support CLC case-handling attorneys by researching and writing about legal issues
  • Draft motions and other pretrial or trial materials
  • Interview clients and witnesses
  • Assist in investigative tasks
  • Attend court proceedings and provide other support on family law, housing conditions, or special education matters

Requirements

  • Current law student or recent law school graduate
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical ability
  • Strong writing skills
  • Solid academic background
  • Commitment to working with low-income populations
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to complete all tasks
  • Minimum of 12 hours per week
