About the role

  • Insurance Advisor managing coverage questions and solutions for dentists. Supporting practice-related insurance risks while providing high-level service and expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Responds to telephone calls and written requests regarding coverage questions, premiums, eligibility, rates, account status, claims, billing, policy changes, and benefits as needed to maintain service objectives
  • Maintains detailed records of insurance transactions with appropriate company database
  • Sells all product lines
  • Product expert for all coverage lines for P&C
  • Educates, plans and supports members to help them cover all practice related insurance risks
  • Consults with members to identify risk and exposure, advise on the proper values for the member’s assets, and then recommends solutions to manage the member’s risk and exposure
  • Acts as a liaison between the member and other departments by gathering and passing underwriting information about the member
  • Effectively works with interdependent departments, and outside carriers to efficiently process application submissions
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems and disputes in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provides a high level of service to CDA members and insurance clients
  • Conducts outbound calls as necessary to service members
  • Works well within a cohesive team to achieve department objectives
  • Responds to and handles escalated/complex service issues for all lines of business
  • Cross Sells all appropriate product lines including referrals to Health Care Team
  • Supports ongoing benchmarks for: Retention, Controllable Pend Ratio, Revenue goals, Sales Pipeline development, New Business Submission goals for all lines of business, Customer response and call monitoring
  • Accurately tracks all prospect management through appropriate company database
  • Creates and sustains long-term working relationships with valued CDA members, and insurance clients
  • Conducts consistent follow up with prospective clients both on the phone and via email
  • Interacts with members, clients, and prospective clients at industry tradeshows, and occasional networking events
  • Participates in pre-arranged marketing campaigns and tracking activities as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Active P&C license
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Proficient computer skills, including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Two years of experience in insurance sales and/or insurance account management
  • Demonstrated sales experience
  • Certified in Flood and Earthquake
