About the role
- Cloud Developer responsible for developing cloud service delivery models and architectural frameworks. Implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud infrastructure for applications and migrate existing on-premises • Develop and implement cloud applications and migrate existing on-premises applications to the cloud.
- Analyze applications and provide recommendations for platform migration, deployment into a cloud environment, and optimization.
- Provide strategies for failure/recovery, cost optimization, and benefit analyses for cloud, cloud-agnostic, and on-premises services.
- Manage policies for cloud service usage, new technology requests, and ensure the establishment of a secure cloud environment.
- Ensure appropriate availability and uptime design for cloud services.
- Work independently to design and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing cloud software.
- Debug cloud stacks and manage cloud infrastructure.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree Information Technology or related field or Equivalent Experience
- 5 years of experience
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and services
- Proficient in DevSecOps practices and automation tools - GitLab
- Proficient in container orchestration and security practices
- Proven experience in cloud architecture and cloud service delivery models
- Strong analytical skills to provide recommendations for cloud migration and deployment
- Experience in developing strategies for cloud service failure/recovery and cost optimization
- Ability to manage cloud policies and ensure secure cloud environments
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Active Top Secret
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Minimum Skills Required: Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat, etc.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices
- Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades
- Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
- Familiarity with modern web development frameworks and libraries
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of database management and integration
- Understanding of web security best practices
- Ability to document processes and code for future maintenance and upgrades.
