About the role
- Underground Site System Engineering Lead managing site technology capabilities for underground operations at Caterpillar. Focusing on engineering practices and integration for scalable site solutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain end to end underground site solution requirements
- Interface with machine teams and office software teams
- Partner with architects from delivery teams to shape solution architecture
- Lead architecture validation activities within NPI programs
- Develop and maintain key systems engineering artifacts for underground site solutions
- Drive cross team integration planning and support resolution of cross product issues
- Lead and participate in technical reviews and architectural governance forums
- Report regularly to the Site Systems Tech Lead/Program Manager on progress
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading system requirements definition and management across complex, multi team product environments
- Proven ability to define end to end solution architecture and interfaces
- Applied experience with underground operations and constraints
- Extensive experience recognizing, anticipating, and resolving complex cross team integration problems
- Hands on experience with systems engineering and architecture practices/tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent relevant experience)
