About the role

• Engineer Pedagogy involved in SkillQuest project at UniLaSalle, enhancing digital education tools in sciences. Collaborating with faculty to design educational resources and assessments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and lead the network of participating teachers (workshops, training in competency-based approach)
• Co-design the competency tree in life sciences with faculty-researchers from the Veterinary, Agrobiosciences and Agrosciences colleges
• Support pedagogical scripting and the creation of Moodle resources
• Develop and monitor competency assessment methods
• Lead pedagogical gamification by integrating feedback from implemented SkillQuest activities (XP, badges, leaderboards)
• Define and implement an evaluation protocol for the program
• Disseminate the project scientifically through publications and presentations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) or higher
• Ideally a degree in life sciences fields (Food Science, Agronomy / Ecology, Nutrition & Health, Energy, Environment, Geology & Environment, Veterinary Medicine)
• Experience in instructional design/learning engineering in one or more institutions
• Knowledge of the higher education training sector
• Experience in instructional design and/or higher education teaching
• Proficiency with LMS platforms (Moodle preferred)
• Knowledge of active learning pedagogies and gamification (ludopedagogy)
• Strong organizational and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team and to manage projects
• Experience managing innovative educational projects
• English (minimum B2 level)
• Gamification / Game-based learning
• Group and meeting facilitation / Project management / Financial planning and management.
