HPE is hiring a strategic senior finance leader to oversee Corporate FP&A operations and enhance forecasting credibility. This role involves collaboration with C - suite and Board stakeholders and leading a 60 - member finance team.
About the role
- Finance Director responsible for elevating Finance & Accounting functions in Hungary. Leading a team while collaborating as a strategic partner to management in the logistics sector.
Responsibilities
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
- Manage liquidity, cash flow, and financial risks
- Lead banking relationships, credit lines, and financing structures
- Prepare and present financial analyses, KPIs, and management reports
- Drive automation, digitalization, and process optimization
- Lead finance related projects and support group level standardization initiatives
- Coordinate accounting processes
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings
- Handle complex accounting issues and ensure IFRS and local GAAP compliance
- Supervise the preparation and consolidation of financial statements and group reports
- Implement company accounting guidelines
- Manage accounts receivable and credit risk
- Serve as the primary contact for auditors and tax advisors
Requirements
- Degree in Finance and Accounting or an equivalent registered accountant qualification
- At least 5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling within an international environment, preferably Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Transport or Manufacturing.
- Hands on experience with accounting software, ideally SAP, and strong proficiency in MS Office
- Strong command of English, both spoken and written
- IFRS and GAAP knowledge, backed by certification or degree
- Valid B category driver’s license
