Senior Test Engineer responsible for testing software and hardware in security systems. Collaborating on test plans for intrusion and access control products.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for both software and hardware components of intrusion and access control products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers and product managers to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot test environments, including wiring hardware devices and integrating electronic components.
Understanding and implementing wiring diagrams and commissioning complex systems.
Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing for embedded systems and software applications.
Independent work based on product documentation, including feedback to ensure the quality of the documentation.
Document and report defects, inconsistencies, and test results using appropriate tools and methodologies.
Participate in root cause analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives for product reliability and performance.
Stay current with industry standards and best practices in general and also related to intrusion detection and access control technologies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Min. 3 years of experience in software and hardware testing, preferably within the security, intrusion, or access control industry.
Solid understanding of wiring practices and basic electronics principles.
Hands-on experience with test equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
Familiarity with QA methodologies, test automation tools, and bug tracking systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal Polish and English communication skills.
**Nice to have:**
Experience working with MB ecosystem products or similar platforms.
Industry certifications related to QA, electronics, or security systems.
Knowledge of intrusion detection algorithms, access control protocols, and relevant compliance standards.
Experience with embedded software testing and firmware validation.
