Responsibilities
As a Senior Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace Technologies, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and sustainment of cutting-edge navigation and sensor solutions for a variety of applications.
Your experience as a Mechanical Engineer will ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical designs.
You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager, and you will work out of our Clearwater, FL location on a Hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will be critical in the mechanical design process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable navigation and sensor products.
Your responsibilities will include the mechanical design and drafting of our navigation and sensor products using CREO Parametric.
You will also conduct Finite Element Analysis to validate designs, performing thermal and structural analysis to optimize product performance using NX Simcenter.
You will also support test and production to ensure the timely resolution of issues to deliver product on schedule.
Finally, you will also support the technical development of team through mentorship and coaching.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
10 plus years of experience in mechanical design and development, with a particular focus on Defense and Commercial Electronics.
5 plus years of experience and proficiency with ASME Y14 standards
7 plus years of experience with other CAD software (CREO, NX) and design tools
5 plus years of Earned Value Management experience
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (WE VALUE)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (WE VALUE)
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills (WE VALUE)
Strong communication and collaboration abilities (WE VALUE)
Proficiency with Finite Element Analysis principles (WE VALUE)
Familiarity with electronics design and analysis for thermal and vibration environments (WE VALUE)
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in mechanical design (WE VALUE)
Experience with product testing and validation (WE VALUE)
Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (WE VALUE)
Must be a US Citizen due to contractual requirements (U.S PERSONS REQUIREMENTS).
