Lead Project Engineer managing engine test coordination and facility design at Honeywell. Oversee test requests and mentor team in achieving engineering test program objectives.
Responsibilities
lead test coordination, program test estimates, facility design and capital projects for one or more product lines
accountable for the preparation, coordination, and execution of E&PS engine test requests – quality data being the key deliverable to our customers
lead facility and test equipment design and maintenance for a wide variety of engine test programs/projects
act as the primary focal point for Test as a Service, the sales of our test capability to support customers in their product development
support aero adjacent markets
work with a wide variety of stakeholders in all aspects of test facility design and maintenance, test equipment design, configuration and upkeep, test planning and test execution
leverage advanced knowledge of engineering processes, discipline, and tools to estimate, plan and execute tasks and projects
mentor and train the cross functional team to achieve all objectives for the engine test programs, utilizing demonstrated experience.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
8-10 years Engineering and/or Test experience.
Engine System Test experience
Experience with Altitude Test Facilities and equipment required to operate them
Experience with Control Systems, especially facility control system and transient behaviors of test systems
Skilled change agent with proven ability to drive transformational/cultural improvement.
Background in requirements management, validation, and verification.
Strong background and experience in defining a test program plan to achieve development risk reduction, safety of flight test requirements and qualification test requirements within budget and schedule constraints.
Project management skill and conversion of test proposals into quotes and executable program plans.
Earned value management (EVMS) to government contracting standards.
Leadership Skills - decision making, customer management, driving results, and bias for action.
Demonstrated knowledge of IPDS processes and tools.
Prioritizes time and resources effectively.
Demonstrated team building skills.
