Responsibilities
Lead the design and development of advanced electrical systems and components with a focus on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of electronic products meet EMC requirements (mechanical packaging, electrical design, board layout, interconnect/grounding strategies, signal integrity, etc.)
Perform EMC analysis to aid electrical and mechanical designers to meet or exceed EMC requirements and resolve issues as needed
Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EMC design processes and efficiency
Support EMC Qualification Test campaigns and root-cause investigations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in technical disciplines such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronics design
Proficiency in EMC analysis, filtering and board level design
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Basic understanding but not necessarily mastery, of power supply, analog, digital, data bus, and RF circuits
Knowledge of RTCA DO-160, Boeing D6, Airbus ABD, MIL-STD 461, MIL STD-810 design and compliance documents
Experience in EMC simulation and modeling tools (examples include use of LTSpice, Mathcad, EMA3D, etc.)
Proficiency with Siemens Xpedition Design Flow (i.e. DxDesigner, Constraint Manager, HyperLynx Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and Layout), Mathcad, Timing Designer, MS Excel, and LTSpice.
Knowledgeable in project estimation, planning, and cost and schedule management
Ability to effectively mentor junior engineers
