About the role

  • Lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities at Hazen and Sawyer. Engaging in business development and supervising less experienced staff in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on projects for water and wastewater facilities.
  • Responsibilities include supervision of less experienced staff working on projects, and interaction with clients and engineers from other disciplines.
  • Candidate will serve as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices.
  • Candidate will engage in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development.
  • Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidate should have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities.
  • Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
  • Candidate must also have good communication skills, including interaction with clients and contractors.
  • AutoCAD, Revit BIM software and SKM and/or ETAP power systems software experience are desirable.
  • Prior project leadership experience is required; Leadership experience in major projects is desired.
  • Experience with instrumentation and control systems is a plus, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs.
  • Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industry is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineering License is required.
