Responsibilities
own, execute and resolve assigned Root Cause Analysis projects (RCAs) related to electrical wind turbine components and equipment
driving root cause identification and corrective action development
support the implementation of systematic improvements for fleet issues
develop, own, implement, and support product quality initiatives across the global product
drive process improvement and closed loop lessons learned across product life cycle
own, lead, execute and resolve assigned critical and minor RCAs
define and implement fast track containment for assigned RCAs
develop effective relationships with various teams to foster best solutions
track the impact of assigned RCAs on availability and lead efforts to reduce failure rates
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline from an accredited institution
Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant work experience preferably in the wind or power generation industry
Previous deep technical understanding on electrical components and systems
Detailed understanding of the product development cycle
Detailed understanding of the 8D problem solving process
Positive, resourceful, clear and strategic thinking problem solver mindset
Proven RCA technical expertise and project closure
Technical Versatility and ability to learn technology outside of one's specialty
Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time
Ability and willingness to climb a wind turbine
Root Cause Analysis Training or Certification (8-D, Apollo, Shainin or similar)
Statistically literate and familiar with quality concepts and tools (Six-sigma BB, Lean, etc.)
Strong problem-solving skills

Prior team management experience (either direct report or indirect reports)
