About the role

  • Analyst providing policy advice and oversight for the Social Housing Growth Fund. Collaborating on housing policy initiatives and contributing to evidence-based research.

Responsibilities

  • Work independently and as part of a team on issues related to the oversight and delivery of the Social Housing Growth Fund’s objectives.
  • Advise on issues relating to housing policy initiatives, including formulation of practical policy options to drive improvements in housing.
  • Contribute to evidence-based research and analysis on a range of issues to ensure best practice in housing policy.
  • Produce high quality written material, including public documents such as issues papers, procurement documents and reports.
  • Provide policy and commercial advice and implement procurement of future rounds of the Social Housing Growth Fund in partnership with Homes Victoria.
  • Communicate (verbal and written) complex economic concepts
  • Develop constructive working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Identify and analyse emerging issues, trends and risks and provide forward-looking insights to inform policy development and program outcomes.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and to planning and decision-making for the team to deliver outcomes.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in economics, project management, law/contract management, data analytics or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Sound conceptual and analytical abilities including demonstrated ability to prepare and present accurate and timely advice.
  • Experience in using economic frameworks and principles, and/or experience in policy development and advice would be advantageous.
