Responsibilities
Provide specialist assessment, consultation and treatment to infants and children experiencing mental health and occupational functioning challenges.
Include discipline-specific assessment, formulation, intervention planning and reporting, focusing on sensory processing, motor development and functional participation.
Work within a newly established transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary model of care.
Access funded training opportunities, including family-centred practice, trauma-informed care and specialist assessments.
Requirements
Current general registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist (no restrictions)
Experience working in a mental health service and/or significant experience in a relevant area such as paediatrics, community health, or statutory/non-government services
Strong understanding of contemporary, evidence-based practice in child and family mental health
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary teams
Commitment to safe, high-quality, family-centred and trauma-informed care
Excellent communication skills and a strong advocacy focus for children and families
